Kootenai Health is currently looking to hire a Registered Sonographer. As a sonographer here you will work as part of the health care team, ensuring that appropriate patient care is provided.
Job duties include diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position requires call which is typically 1 weeknight every 3 weeks and every 15th weekend. Ultrasound responsibilities are covered by call from 11 pm until 7 am, 7 days per week. In this position you will rotate through the hospital and outpatient clinics.
1. Bachelors or Associates degree (A.A.S.), from a CAAHEP, accredited college or a two-year technical/vocational college with a certificate in the ultrasound program. 2. ARDMS credentialed in RDMS. 3. BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KMC BLS within 60 days of hire.
