Echo/Vascular Tech Job Summary
Performs echocardiograms, (cardiac & vascular) in accordance with established practices and procedures. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies cardiologists of results of examinations. Consults with cardiologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of cardiology.
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications:
Education Associate's degree (AA), or equivalent, from a college or technical school in Echocardiography or; experience and training necessary for designation of "Registry Eligible" in Echocardiography required. Certification/Licensure Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required. RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) Registration required. BLS required (within 60 days of hire.)
