At Kootenai Health we have this excellent night shift (yes we said night shift - keep reading) job for an RN, an RN who is motivated by patient safety and building community partnerships. We need a dedicated and compassionate Patient Placement Coordinator.
You will be responsible for consistent information exchange and communication between nursing administration and staff regarding proper physician and bed placement. You will call on your skills to prioritize and make decisions for timely transfers based on acuity, diagnosis, preference, bed availability, and staffing resources. You will maintain accurate Patient Transfer Center records and statistics and other data as requested. You will practice your analytical side for maintaining compliance with federal regulations that guide the transfer of patients between facilities and policy enforcement. While you are mastering this position, you can take pride in being a part of a healthy, growing and high functioning organization.
This position is a "hybrid" - will work one shift as a Patient Placement Coordinator, and 2 shifts per week in Nursing Resource Team as RN.

1. A graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program. 2. The State of Idaho Registered Nurse 3. BSN or current enrollment in BSN program required 4. Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing 5.
