Purpose of Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by coordinating grant activities as follows:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares grant proposals and applications for submission.
- Monitors and supports post-grant award activities and reporting, including compliance with the grant agreement and grant implementation procedures. Ensures that grant deliverables are met and all grant reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintains detailed files and records that allow ease of program reporting, and satisfies the needs of auditors and funders.
- Maintains up-to-date information on CHAS Health's service area, including demographics, unmet needs, health disparities, health outcomes data, and barriers to care, completing regular Community Needs Assessments.
- Facilitates staff awareness and understanding of grant development, management, and compliance.
- Identifies grant opportunities to match organizational priorities.
- Tracks receipt of individual donations and coordinates acknowledgements.
- Supports fundraising and donation initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor Degree preferred. Experience in grant writing, development, management and compliance preferred. Experience in the health care field preferred.

Required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail required. Requires strong project management and data analytic skills, with an emphasis on planning and monitoring grant-funded programs. Ability to learn varied content quickly required.

Desired Skills: Understanding of HRSA compliance and 330 grant requirements required. Familiarity with laws and regulations related to FQHCs and federal grant programs required. Experience effectively coordinating and writing complex grant proposals to government and private funding sources required. Knowledge of the Office of Management and Budget federal guidelines for federal award programs - Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards required.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
