A well-established Marketing Firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Downtown Seattle Team. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES (Include but are not limited to) Assist in completion of month-end closing activities in a timely manner to meet compliance and reporting deadlines Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed Reconcile subsidiary ledgers Reconcile bank activity within multiple bank accounts and research/resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner Assist in preparation of monthly internal management reporting Interface with external accountants to facilitate annual financial statement audit and federal tax return preparation Provide transactional support and oversight as needed for payroll, A/P, and A/R. Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure accurate posting in GL Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules Documentation of policies and procedures Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial reports as requested. Assisting in the development and implementation of systems, internal control and procedures as needed Assist with governmental agency audits as necessary Perform technical accounting research as needed
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience in either private or public accounting Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong communication skills, ability to handle tight deadlines Strong MS Office skills including excel and word Experience with Deltek accounting software a plus
