A well-established construction supply company is seeing a Warehouse Manager to join their team! This position will work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee all daily aspects of the warehouse, manage employees, and ensure business productivity.
Job Description: - Supervise warehouse and take direction from branch manager. - Help branch manager to conduct interviews and hire people for the warehouse. - Train delivery drivers. Ensure the deliveries are made professionally and with a focus on great customer service. - Coordinate delivery routes for drivers and monitor progress throughout day. - Make sure product is pulled accurately in warehouse. Ensure that paperwork is filled out correctly and processes are followed. - Understand and make sure processes are followed for receiving product, shipping product, transferring product, stocking product, pulling product for orders and maintaining inventory accuracy. Continually look for areas to improve process efficiency. Train warehouse staff on all processes. - Coordinate with sales staff to ensure orders are delivered as customers expect. - Coordinate with purchasing staff to ensure product received is in good condition and matches the purchase order. Communicate clearly any product inaccuracies or damage. - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Look for ways to improve product organization in the warehouse. - Maintain a safe warehouse. Continually improve the safety culture of the warehouse staff. Safety should focus on proper ways to climb ladders, lift objects, secure loads on vehicles, operate forklifts, drive vehicles, load racks with heavy objects, and cut metal channel. - Use the computer to research product in company ERP system. Also, use email and other Microsoft Office programs to solve problems, edit procedures, and read company documents. - Communicate with sales & purchasing to ensure product and paper flow is accurate.
Desired Experience & Qualifications: - 3-10 years of warehouse or distribution experience - Ability to train and supervise others in a warehouse environment - High School Diploma or equivalent - Ability to take direction, work with others, and be self-motivated is important. - Need to know or be able to learn quickly computer systems, software, and part numbers used in the warehouse processes. - Valid driver's license with clean driving record required. - Knowledge of part numbers and products is helpful - Familiarity with warehouse work and computer controlled inventory systems is a helpful. - Ability to lift up to 70 lbs is required - Ability to communicate internally & externally in a professional manner is a plus
PAY: $35-$45K Annually DOE FULL TIME Direct/Contract-to-Hire (Long term perm position) Health, dental, & 401k programs available
