Responsible for greeting patients, visitors and other guests while assisting them into Kootenai Health. Provides claim tickets to guests and completes vehicle inspection then safely parks vehicles. Ensures vehicles are locked and secure and returns keys to valet station. Retrieves vehicles upon request. Assists customers in and out of vehicles, if necessary, using appropriate safety precautions. Coordinates & assists with vehicle minor mechanical issues. Reports any safety & security issues in the surrounding areas to Security Services, as appropriate. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field. Performs other related duties as assigned. Valet Attendants may be expected to support both the Paratransit and Courier divisions when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications: High school education or equivalent required. Valid driver's license with no restrictions. 3 years driving experience required. Safe driving record. Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding the governing of motor vehicles in the State of Idaho.
Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements): Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. On feet a minimum of 8-12 hours, depending on length of shift. Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds with assistance or some standing or walking. Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing heavy equipment. Read charts, dials, instruments, equipment settings, literature and other printed and handwritten materials. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
Work Environment: · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. · Work is performed in all weather and driving conditions.
