  • Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced, organized and highly motivated Service Manager to join a large Manufacturing company located in beautiful North Idaho. The Service Manager will be in charge of the entire Service Department, including Technical Service reps, Field Service reps and Product Service and Support Reps. Strong communication and problem solving skills a must.

Supervise inside and outside service leads and activities.
Supervise and/or coordinate travel and service job manpower requirements.
Coordinate outside service personnel priorities with production when they are not traveling.
Supervise and/or Coordinate materials and resources for field installations, field repairs, and field inspection/PSSR.
Develop, set, and monitor employee growth goals.
Conduct Employee performance reviews; praise or discipline employees as needed/required.
Forecast and hire for capacity needs for inside and outside service personnel.
Evaluate and suggest price changes to items in the service revenue stream.
Participate in Production meetings.
Participation and supervision of the warranty reduction process.
Work with the Production Manager on the service production schedule.
Work with the Inventory Control Manager to maintain stock levels of service parts.
Manage the service and maintenance of our Rental Fleet.
Develop additional service related revenue streams.
Develop and/or maintain a distributor service training program.
Develop knowledge based system to reduce the level of technical knowledge to trouble shoot equipment.
Streamline internal processes to increase efficiency and improve accuracy.
Develop and maintain an annual budget.

Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
Minimum 5 years managing and supervising in a service capacity.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver unique solutions to complex problems.
A strong mechanical aptitude.
2 years Vocational/College degree or NFPA certification in fluid power a plus.
Extensive hydraulic experience and the ability to accurately read electrical and hydraulic blueprints/schematics a plus.
Experience with electronics and CANBUS systems, PLC's, Parker IQAN & Danfoss Plus One Guide systems a plus.
Familiar with and knowledge of operating heavy equipment.
An eye for detail, quality, and safety.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high performing department that is the heartbeat of the organization.
Ability to work with a team, organization, and strong initiative are a must.
Computer competence with the Microsoft Suite is required. Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus.
Travel up to 8 weeks/year.
Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Able to legally travel outside of the United States to visit international job sites.
