Job Description Designs, documents, and implements clinical data studies. Analyzes data and defines logical data sets. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Associates Degree required. Bachelor's degree in a health related field preferred. 5 Years experience in a health related position, or equivalent experience Highly experienced in computer programs such as Excel, Access, Meditech modules or other similar computer programs Experience in data analysis techniques desired (queries, drills, sorting, formulas) Experience with Quality Improvement statistical concepts desired Strong organizational and communication skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following additional skills; self starter, with the ability to retrieve data from various sources. Analytical minded with a good understanding of the financial implication of metrics. Willingness to understand CIN's and the benefit of the Kootenai Care Network to patients and the community.
Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements):
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. Majority of shift spent sitting. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc. Work Environment: Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year, operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
