Kootenai Heart Clinics Northwest is seeking a Physician Assistant with previous cardiovascular surgery experience preferred. This position is a surgical PA working directly with two phenomenal Cardiologists.
Kootenai Heart Clinics Northwest consists of a network of locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. These clinics provide heart patients across the northwest with highest level of comprehensive cardiovascular care available. This position is located in our CVOR department.
Essential Job Functions
Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a physician. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Health Science required. Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Idaho Medical Board or is certification eligible, and is certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required. Qualified under the rules of the DEA for prescriptive practices required. Qualified under CMS regulations for patient care and billing practices required. BLS Required (or within 60 days of hire.)
