Kootenai Health is seeking a detail oriented, community-minded, and compassionate Pharmacy Tech II to take on the tasks needed to work in our new Specialty Pharmacy.
You will be spending hours on the phone with insurance companies and other pharmacies coordinating pharmacy services. You will be working closely with the patients and the entire health care team including pharmacists, RNs, and providers. Your responsibilities will include managing the prior authorization process, working with patients who need financial assistance and being proactive in problem solving to ensure that patients receive the best care possible.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful completion of a licensed Pharmacy Technician Program or 2-3 years experience in a retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical company or equivalent work setting. Idaho State Board Pharmacy Technician registration required. Hired as of 6/1/2009, national certification through PTCB or ICPT required. A minimum of one-year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Pharmacy intern who has completed his/her first professional year of Pharmacy school. Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs. NATURE OF POSITION
