As a core member of the Patient Access and Registration team, you will control the flow of patients through the Emergency Department and outpatient registration access areas, collect demographic and insurance information from incoming patients at the point of service, and verify active payer sources for patients. In this role you will communicate financial policies as pertaining to insurance coverage, obtain required signatures on the various clinical and financial consent forms, and collect pre-arranged deposits, self-pay deposits, and point of service copayments. Requirements & Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of six months prior customer service experience required. One year of experience and/or education in office procedures preferred. Accurate by touch keyboarding skills with 35 wpm minimum typing speed. Prior medical office and/or insurance billing experience highly desirable. CNA or EMT training is helpful.
