A great agricultural team in Umatilla,OR is seeking a Laboratory Manager to plan, direct and coordinate laboratory operations, assuring accurate analysis with prompt turnaround times to meet or exceed client expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide management direction to supervisors as well as oversee all laboratory staff. Cooperate and assist the VP, Laboratory Operations in the development and implementation of the annual business and financial plans Be accountable for procedures to document employee performance, payroll information, personnel records and administrative management documents Be responsible for ordering and maintaining appropriate laboratory supplies Coordinate work activities within the laboratory to ensure daily workloads are completed timely, efficiently and accurately. Keep current on laboratory methods, procedures, and certifications Responsible to review, evaluate, and administer building security, housekeeping, and cleaning programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree - Science related preferred but not mandatory. Must be goal-oriented, confident, thorough, have strong deductive reasoning abilities and strong management skills Strong customer service oriented skills, and the ability to empathize with staff and clients Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as possess effective communication skills Willingness to grow and develop both personally and professionally.
SALARY: $60K Annually DOE Fill Time - M-F 8-5 Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, 401K) Direct Hire
