Job Description Supervises and coordinates day-to-day activities of the sleep lab and clinic staff. Acts as a resource for team in daily problem solving. Provides procedural oversight, if applicable. Assures that standards of sleep study quality and excellence in patient care are maintained. Develops and administers policies and procedures in cooperation with the Manager to assure excellence in sleep center services and patient care. Responsible for the hiring, scheduling, development, and evaluation of sleep medicine staff. Understands documentation, coding, and billing requirements. Understands quality initiatives and staff workflows to support those. Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or business degree preferred 2. Registered Polysomnography Tech (RPSGT) required. 3. Idaho PSG permit required. 4. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sleep Medicine. 5. Supervisory experience in the field required. 6. BLS required from American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider Card from the American heart Association. 7. Experience working with various clinical information systems
Essential Job Functions: Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. On feet or sitting a minimum of 8-12 hours, depending on length of shift. Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing heavy stretchers and other equipment. Read patient charts, CRT, equipment gauges/, monitors, schedules, technical literature and a variety of other printed and handwritten materials. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
Work Environment: · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. · Kootenai Health Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs therefore availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required. · Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
