Job Description Responsible for protecting the organization's information assets and information technology resources. Leads the development and maintenance of enterprise wide IT security architecture, systems security design, security practices and procedures. Responsible for researching and reporting on IT security threat profiles; intrusion detection/incident investigation and responses. Manages a program for information assurance including serving as a key participant in the development and management of the organization's disaster recover security procedures. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Responsible for the administration and annual review and update of Information security policies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Information Science or related discipline from accredited institution or equivalent experience required. 2. Minimum of 6 years experience with information technology security; design and development, implementation, architecture and application management.
Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements): Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. Majority of shift spent sitting. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
Work Environment: · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. · Kootenai Health Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs therefore availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required. · Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
