A long-time established company in the Tri-Cities area is looking to add an HRIS Analyst to support the Administrative Services Department in their Richland Office. This position performs professional human resources work including recruitment and retention, benefits administration, leave law compliance, drug and alcohol and workers compensation program administration and all other human resources functions.
Job Duties: - Administers leave law policy & ensures compliance with State & federal laws. - Administers drug & alcohol program, ensuring compliance with federally mandated regulations. Advises management & employees on drug & alcohol program policies. - Administers the worker's compensation program, which includes monitoring employee claims & working with management to resolve complex issues. - Evaluates & assess injured employees through medical documentation for return to work & transitional work programs. - Coordinates the recruitment & selection processes by developing a recruitment plan & identifying & scheduling applicable recruitment activities, panelists for interviews, interviews & examinations. - Conducts meetings with hiring authorities to review staffing needs. - Coordinates, plans, schedules & monitors pre-employment activities such as background investigations & reference checks. - Develops, maintains & monitors eligibility for Agency's benefit programs for represented & non-represented employees. - Answers employee questions regarding benefits; explains & interprets various insurance programs & options for employees & dependents. - Compiles & maintains personnel records.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in HRIS Administration/data management and benefits administration. - Strong technical skills including advanced experience with Excel. - Strong organization, communication and presentation skills with experience driving projects to completion. - Experience with web based enrollment and vendor and payroll integration with benefits system. - Experience developing and analyzing various reporting functions within HRIS systems. - Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation
