Purpose of Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by leading the Business Intelligence Team in data compilation, analysis, reporting, and presentation of financial, clinical, and business related information at CHAS Health:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In conjunction with leadership, plan and execute business intelligence strategies to continually improve the organization's data reporting and analytics capabilities.
Manage enhancements to existing data warehouse and cube including adding new data sources and streamlining existing processes and code.
Manage organization's data acquisition from both internal and external sources.
Manage database and server backup and disaster recovery plans.
Train and develop employees to deliver best-in-class BI solutions.
Develop and maintain BI website, cube, dashboards and Excel based reports.
Work closely with leadership, finance, operations, quality, and clinical employees to ensure data accuracy and develop actionable reports.
Support the organization's budgeting and forecasting process using advanced predictive analytical models.
Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in data design, architecture, analysis and reporting. Experience successfully managing a team responsible for developing reporting solutions preferred. Candidates with previous experience in healthcare preferred.
Other Skills: Must be proficient in SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, Visual Studio, Excel and .NET web development. Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication and customer service skills, as well as commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to self-direct and determine priorities.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, sit and be mobile up to one-third of the time. Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel over two-thirds of the time; while reaching with hands and arms occurs one-third of the day. Required to read from text and computer screen over two-thirds of the time. Climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching occurs less than one-third of the time. Communicating occurs constantly throughout the day. Lifting occurs about half the time up to 10 lbs. and less than one-third of the day from 25-40 lbs. Rarely is there a need to lift more than 41 lbs.
