Kootenai Outpatient Surgery (KOS) is a strategic joint venture between Kootenai Health and strong groups of local physicians. KOS is seeking a motivated leader to be the Director of this outstanding growth bound surgery center.
Job Description Under the direction of the Executive Director Surgical Services, the Director is responsible for coordinating and managing the center's planning, development and operations. The center's operations will be directed in a manner that provides total quality/safe healthcare services and a hospitable and caring service for patients, family members, friends, physicians and their staff and all other external clients. Manages a staff of dedicated nursing personnel who are both well-trained and committed to providing a value-added service and provides an environment that keeps staff engaged and challenged. Responsible for a profitable cost effective operation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Licensed as a RN by the Idaho Board of Nursing OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multi-state privilege to practice" compact with Idaho and BSN required, Master's in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred. If BSN only, enrollment in master's program within one year of hire OR If not RN, BSN, then Master's in Business or Healthcare Administration required.
Three to five years of supervisory / managerial experience in a free-standing ambulatory surgery center setting
