Acts as a key user and resource for one of our key accounting systems. Collects and analyzes financial and operational data. Assists in ongoing periodic preparation of financial statements for internal and external users. Ensures all reporting is in compliance with GAAP reporting guidelines. Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy. Assists external auditors as needed. Uses data query and data reporting tools for delivery of departmental and functional area performance information. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: BA or B.S. in Accounting or in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, required. A minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience required. Excellent communication skills to include written and oral required. Demonstrates ability to efficiently utilize general accounting applications, Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word. Familiarity/experience with data query and reporting tools preferred Essential Job Functions:

Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc. Work Environment: Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. Kootenai Health Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs therefore availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required.
