Job Description Responsible for supporting a sustainable culture of continuous performance improvement. Performs in-depth analysis on clinical outcomes data in order to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Uses a variety of tools for performance improvement, including Lean processes and AHRQ guidelines. Responsible for facilitating continuous improvement projects, teams and mentoring others. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in cooperation with their areas of assigned responsibility. Performs a variety of tasks, including educating and supporting leaders and staff in their assigned areas. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required. Two years of clinical experience required. Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience utilizing lean preferred Project Management experience preferred
Essential Job Functions (Physical Requirements): Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. Majority of shift spent sitting. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
Work Environment: · Kootenai Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients. · Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
