  • Chemical Dependency Program Supervisor

Purpose of Job: Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by overseeing programs related to medication-assisted treatment and substance use disorder counseling by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Implements and provides oversight of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services at CHAS clinic sites.
*Develops and maintains medication-assisted treatment program policies and procedures.
*Oversees and provides supervision for assigned staff and students according to federal, state and local requirements. 
*Provides training to CHAS sites and program employees regarding best practices, policies, and procedures of medication-   assisted treatment for substance use disorders.
*Identifies medication-assisted treatment data trends and track program quality measures.
*Determines patient eligibility for medication-assisted treatment utilizing ASAM criteria.
*Provides CDP functions on a regular basis.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: Must be a Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDP) and/or Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor (CADC). Licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor preferred. Must have five (5) years experience in treatment of substance use disorders and two (2) years of experience of managing treatment programs for substance use disorders. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver's license required.
Skills: Knowledge of community resources. Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Computer skills
required. Excellent independent judgment and discretion required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to move around the facility between 1/3 and 2/3rds of the day, as well as sit at a workstation or patient rooms. Using hands occurs over 2/3rds of the day, while reaching with arms less than 1/3rd of the day. Communicating is required over 2/3rds of the day. Lifting up to 10 lbs. is occasionally required.
