Kootenai Health is seeking a resourceful, patient-driven, and highly creative MSW Case Manager to join our team!
MSW Case Managers on our team conduct initial assessments of patients to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. They may assign patients to mental health practitioners based on intake assessments and performs utilization reviews in accordance with the hospital's UR plan to ensure adherence to federal regulations. Additionally, Case Managers coordinate discharge planning for the Behavioral Health Unit. Case managers are familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures their field and relies on extensive experience, judgment, and creativity to plan and accomplish goals.
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, with licensed M.S.W plus three years of clinical experience in a psychiatric /mental health setting required. Minimum of three years recent acute clinical practice or related healthcare experience preferred BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KMC BLS within 60 days of hire. Crisis prevention training, or must acquire within 6 months of employment, required.
