Purpose of Job: Improves the overall health of the communities we serve by applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and understand financial reports as follows:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain G/L and fixed assets ledgers. - Assists with payroll processing and oversight. - Assists in the preparation of financial statements. - Prepares journal entries. - Assists in month-end variance analysis and provides feedback to management. - Participates in the annual budget process and helps develop business plans as needed. - Assists in various account analyses, reporting and day to day accounting functions. - Assists with grants management. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required. Minimum two years' related experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Experience utilizing accounting software preferred. Computer skills required.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
